Why Your Voice Matters

Policies being shaped in Washington, D.C., directly impact the future of talent mobility. That’s why it’s critical to share the real-world impact of talent movement on the U.S. economy and national priorities.

Your participation is more important than ever.

Earlier this summer, professionals from across our industry engaged with Congress on the moving expense tax deduction and exclusion in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1), which President Trump signed into law on 4 July. While full reinstatement wasn’t included in the final bill, advocacy efforts led to a successful reinstatement of the exclusion for the U.S. intelligence community and more favorable legislative language overall.

That momentum came directly from engaged professionals like you.

What to Expect on Advocacy Day

You'll advocate and educate on critical issues impacting talent mobility, including reinstating the Moving Expense Tax Deduction and addressing challenges affecting the U.S. employment-based immigration system.

WERC will schedule up to three meetings (both in-person and virtual) for groups of attendees with various House and Senate offices.

Meetings will be prioritized based on the geographic locations of attendees and members of committees with jurisdiction over key issues.
